The title of today’s entry is one that I feel proud of maybe? XD It takes some minor know-how of Colonial US History to catch the reference. If all else fails, Bing Google it! So another week, another set of Bu pictures to show off! Last week’s entries reminded me that I have at least a few classic Bu images that remain unposted! I have spent so much time trying to show off the new hits, I should not neglect the classics! So today I’ll be showing off that and also maybe a newer sketch for fun’s sake. ;3
I’ll start you off with two images brought to me by Katie-W!
This was among a couple sketches that Katie gave me back in 2009 (I remember it was during my first trip to Comic-Con!). I had a couple of choices for pose and neither worked out so we chose this pose instead. She wanted to have a fun and playful image while showing off some EPIC wings. I love how it came out. The colors are vivid and the image is large, so it ended up being my wallpaper on various devices for quite some time! I felt like Katie capture Bu’s style and physical traits perfectly in pretty much every way. I love it! Not really any plot can be derived from this image. It’s just a simple but beautiful Bu image! It can be seen (re)posted HERE!
AND I got one other quick image at the same time as I got that image.
Here we have a Bu pic that Katie made specifically because we had a bit of a problem (while I was still at Comic-Con! lol) with paypal addresses and there was a bunch of mix-ups when I paid for that above commission image! So to make up for it, she made a really adorable chibi-Bu! His head and eyes are soooo big! X3 It kinda looks like he is a tiny construction worker with him on the steel beam and it’s his lunch time. Snacking on a sody-pop and burger! Again, a really great Bu rendition, though she did misplace his tail! No complaints though. I pretend it’s resting on the back of the steel beam. :D This was once posted when Katie was known as -patches, but has not been posted since her migration through accounts. So it’s kind of a blog exclusive. Enjoy it! <3 Thanks for both images, Katie. I treasure them eternally!
I end tonight with another Sablechan sketch from last month!
This one (along with last week’s DS Bu image) was among a few sketches Sable made in an attempt to find a good pose for my commission. While livestreaming the images indeed, they all got scrapped eventually, but I got to have the results! <3 This is another one of my favorites because he made Bu VERY buff and managed to pull out a really funny and well drawn expression. I love what I believe is confusion as it appears that he is groping his chest. I am guessing these muscles are new, must be more muscle growth for Bu! XD (whoops, I rhymed! D:) So yes, sadly incomplete, but I am glad to have even the sketch and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thanks again, Sablechan! *hug*
That concludes out broadcast day here at the Bu Blog! Stay tuned next week for more fun and games in a way that only I can toss at ya! Thanks, as always, for coming by and enjoying my words and pretty pictures made by talented people! I do hope you give every artist I feature just as much love as I do! X3
Hopefully the 3DS won’t impede next week’s article. LOL I am excited! My first new DS system since I got the OLD non-lite DS in 2004. My old one is still in good condition so I see no reason to upgrade until now. Lots of new features. I tried out the 3D at Best Buy today and it actually does work well! It’s fun to toggle between 2 and 3D. XD: Freaky stuff. Anyways, I digress…. Better go now! Have a good weekend, everyone!
Sablechan stuff always soo hawt, gives me a lot of naugthy ideas xDDD
The first pic is soo epic!!! I love those wings x3 and the cutenes of the second one is epic too xD good to have such different images from one same artist
Soo the 3DS really looks 3D o_o?
Hehe I am glad the pics give you naughty ideas. XDDD
They are indeed ALL epic in their own ways. X3. Yes, all the variety I get from artists is what keeps things fresh and keeps me going. :3
It does look 3D! ^3^ It’s all just an optical illusion. Unlike 3D movies which “COME OUT AT YA!”, if you know what I mean, the 3DS is the opposite. It makes it look like everything is going into the screen instead of coming out. Like opposite depth, do you know what I mean? XD
It’s kind of like this prototype from a long time ago (except I think only the top screen is 3D for the real system) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWYgM1RGixM
Oh i see….soo it looks like the action is inside and your taking a look, kind of remidns me the View Master days xDDDD
I hope they dont depend on it too much and still focus on gameplay >:U
Yeah it has a few times where things are coming out at ya! But for the most part it seems very opposite, but still fun. :3
Oh they won’t, because you can turn the 3D off. I think it’s more of a depth helper and a way to make the games prettier! The graphics are better than the DS, for sure.
