Bu's Bu-log

Well folks, some changes have to be made with this weeks post. XD;

Had plans to post a big commission and my recent story, but it’s been delayed at this moment. NO worries! You’ll be seeing it soon enough. >:3 In the meantime, I can tease ya with some new awesome gems! Both here, I got these in the past week.

We start here with another gem by the awesome Zombiesmile! I got a couple sketches from her, and I felt now was the perfect time to move forward with some color!

I really love this image. Haha. It was a brainstorming session that gave us this. I always  wanted Bu to try stand-up comedy, and his is fairly close. Though I’d never go see a puppet show. Though as Bu says… Everyone’s a critic! XD I love Bu’s face here, and the inclusion of a Nar doll was great. He looks FRIGHTENING! But Bu doll looks adorable and maybe not too bright. XD Also, a key thing here… that bow tie. I LOVE it. lol I feel proud to think about asking her to add that bow tie. It really seals the deal here with the theme. Bu IS the puppetmaster. Though it’s a rough audience? This image is currently unposted, so you’ll only be seeing this image right here on the blog! Enjoy! I recommend commissioning Zombie if you can! The results are there and she is very friendly and active with communicating.

And next we have a wonderful lil project from the artist Guytoonist23!

Ohnoes! Bu pen0r. I find myself very pleased with these results! I love traditional media, myself. Provides the chance to end up posted on my bedroom wall with other Bu pics, anyways. Guytoonist delivers a very nice Bu pic here, very comic styled and nice accurate coloring too! Plus the anatomy is “da bomb!” Those are some large lips and an awesome grin he has there. XD The grin is so Bu, and it matches the very erotic material. The hair at his neck is a bit different than normal Bu, but I ended up liking a lot of what Guy did even because it’s his style. I hope we can work together again! We need more ideas. XD I recommend you check him out because he is open for commissions, and he is quite affordable. See this commission HERE!

Gosh I bet I have more to show off, but I shall leave you all hanging! haha. But yeah, gotta start pacing myself! Lots of stuff left to show, but the Bu art does end eventually. It’s Valentine’s Day. I’m not really one to care for the holiday. It hasn’t meant much to me really ever. I ALMOST named the blog entry “Bu gets VD.” (VD-Valentine’s Day of course. XD;;) But I thought that’d be in bad taste. Haha. SO I think since it’s February, it’s time for another glimpse into the origins of ol’ Bu. Which will of course have some new art scattered around! Like this ol’ baby.

I think it’s cute. Of course I am sure some people have seen the leekspin meme, and this is Bu taking part in it. WITH CAEK! X3 I don’t feel the need to explain it if you don’t know it. Look it up! ^^ Thanks to Crimsonblood! Just insert the music to the meme yourself! :U lol I feel like this image IS appropriate. Shows Bu’s random lifestyle. Just being a weirdo. The Origin of Bu Part II

I actually forgot to mention something last time, actually. Somebody happened to remind me by agreeing with me! I noticed AFTER creating Dragon-Bu, but found that it’s more if an inspiration. This whole big curse and his lack of control when he changes is A LOT like The Mask though like a lot of mainstream society, I am more familiar with the wackier and less dark Jim Carrey movie version from 1994! I suppose that’s just something I like. Some meek or shy character who doesn’t do much, forced to change in a supernatural way. It’s fun! Has lots of good subtext on being an outgoing person, and leaves LOTS of room for humor and fun. Yeah so, instead of a mask that changes you, it’s an ancient object that leaves a mark on the possessor of that object. And he becomes a wild half-dragon… monster, sorta!

So in continuation with the origin post in January, the human (whom still remains without much of a name, mostly because of a lack of focus on his human form) visits Egypt. On some tours around some ancient pyramids on his last day on vacaton, he gets lost from the crowd and stumbles upon a weakened spot along the flooring. It’s dark of course and he stumbles into a hole created from the weak floor. At this moment in the origin story, I still haven’t come up with a cursed object yet. At this moment, I imagine it as a bright and vivid green gemstone, but that’s subject to change. :3

The only light illuminating in this cold dark hidden room is some green light emitted from a spot semi buried in the sand. The object is beautiful! And of course it emits that green light, so he takes it for the sake of it providing enough light to escape this hidden chamber. Once he is out of the chamber, he sighs with relief. That could have ended VERY badly. Though the object is quite chilling, being so glowy without any light to reflect off of it, he pockets it, unknowingly taking an object that will change his life, and ruin his nightlife to boot.

It isn’t until the object left the it’s resting place and entered the sunlight of the Egyptian day that he starts to feel an odd sensation in his skin, like some change has been made and that worried him. This human didn’t believe in curses though, so he shrugged it off and left that country, returned home with this theft-ed object. It was only a matter of hours until he hit his first hint of nightfall after getting that object.

So I said “object” a whole lot there. >_> Well like I said, its a work in progress! I should be putting more thought into this. But that’s what these blog entries are for. It’ll help me continue to flesh this crap out. I need to buckle down! But even though it’s choppy and incomplete and probably has some continuity errors, I hope you are enjoying this origin story! The fun begins next month. ;)

I want to keep showing some Bu art too! So I leave you now with another fun one. A little bit of Bu porn, since I haven’t had any posted in maybe over a month? XD Here! A Valentine’s Day treat from me to you?

By and far another one of those weird images that shows how FAR Bu will go just to be that sexual being that he seems to wanna be known for? This was made by the very kind Conji, and I know it’s a really great quality image.  Bu’s face is really well done here. He is trying to really be passionate… while he sucks himself… o-o Well we had trouble posing this image. Laying on his back was very awkward with his wings, so he ended up standing! This is actually kinda something I find interesting. Maybe Bu will do it again someday. I am sure he liked it. You can see the sketch HERE and the final version HERE! I hope to commission him again someday!

Hello again!

Today, I, Busiris, myself, bring you another grab bag of images featuring my ol’ OC Bu. I thought, sure he has a lot of pictures featuring him and only him, but in particular standing or just trying to do a simple pose. I have a bunch, now is the time for them to be showcased!

For starters, my currently **newest** image! :3 From a guy simply known as Childatomic.

Actually, this was a nice little part of Christmas for me! Neekko and I did a commission trade-off! I picked an artist for Neek and commissioned a pic, and then vice versa. Neekko chose Childatomic because I had a long interest in getting a commission from him anyways! I do love it! I know that it went through minimal changes, some usual pants problems, and skin! But this is about all. ^^ I hope to commission him MYSELF someday! See this image HERE!

SPEAAAAKING of Neekko…

This isn’t a full body image, but surely he is standing…right? Well I wanted to showcase this image anyways! I found myself wanting to organize Neekko’s pics of Bu in single posts, but they find themselves sneaking onto grab bag blog posts like this and last week’s post. XD Let’s face it, I bought and was gifted many a Bu pic from Neekko. <3333 Neekko helped me pave the way of the Bu to begin with. This was a part of the Bust commission sale last summer! It was also hand-sketched, and I begged Neek to use my professional paper for it. lol It worked! I have it on my fancy manga paper, on my Bu wall in front of me! You can see it HERE!

Last, but not least, a little gift from MTCopyright!

Hey! Another Christmas gift on my blog. I should’ve just saved all the Christmas pics for next December. lol But no, this was a part of a gifting process on the Holidays in 2008! I was happy to have it, it looks awesome! As with the previous image above, this too adorns my Bu wall! X3 MT sure draws Bu all awesome-like. I like the pose, and MT shows much improvement with anatomy every day! I like the feets here, and the wings to boot! No place to see this pic, but here! :3 It’s a Bu blog exclusive! Enjoy.

Welcome! Now here is the agenda today for the Bu-Log. I feel now is the best time to start to show what I have grasped on the back-story of such a character. It also gives me the chance to see it, and then make an attempt to grow with it.

This one will be tl;dr to the max! Well maybe not the MAX. I won’t be too long, but almost no pics. I might just toss a couple in here. I’ll start with this one!

This image I got as a Christmas gift from ol’ Neekko in 2008 . <3 See it HERE and HERE!I did also get it into coffee mug form. lol Another piece of Bu merchandise! Ahem, anyways…. I thought it was fitting a picture to begin…

The Origin of Bu

So in essence, I kind of imagined Busiris was a curse. Egyptian in nature, mostly because of the name I chose, which I used as my user name online and migrated it over to him. There is always a common theme with Egypt. Always curses! And often they surround an object. So Bu is a curse embedded into an object. Whoever takes the object becomes cursed until death to become Dragon-Bu upon nightfall.

Of course Bu looks this way because that is how I designed him. Technically I suppose I tried to use some of my OWN physical features in him, though not even close to accurate anymore. XD But he looks the way he does now because it’s based off of the human he cursed himself onto. So he dies, Bu disappears until another person takes the object again! Then he (or she if a female takes the object!) would look different. I am always basing the stories and art on his current form though. But you never know what I could be in the mood for later?

Confused? Yay! Me too. It’s a work in progress. And it’s very far-fetched. But I don’t think that bothers me too much. It’s just a story, and heck, I’m not Tolkien or anything. lol Basically he is just a spirit that curses the person that takes the object he was attached to. Bu, I always imagined him to be a fighter character, which explains his pants and belt and buffness too. He soon started to be a goofball as well. I then decided that with the curse he also taps into the subconscious and feeds off of it. What that means is that he loves to do things that everyone wants to do, but he doesn’t hold back. Causing damage to things, partying, sex, food, fun, etc. He does it all because people wanna do it all! The difference is that we, as humans, know better not to do it.

All of that taps into my favorite things. Transformation, muscle growth, also a bit of a temporary mind altering in a trans-formative sense. That last one can cause embarrassment and comedy for the human Bu controls. He’ll wake up at day break likely naked somewhere 100 miles away. Poor guy! lol Its all in good fun. I also try to explain his athletic build in 2007/2008 and why he became megabuff in 2008 and beyond. XD I kinda imagined his form mutates and grows considerably stronger with age. Sorta weak, but hey! Work in progress. I’ll get there. XD

Yeah so that’s the very basic into the bare center of Dragon-Bu. There are still questions I need to answer to myself, such as why dragon? Also what object curses the human and where is that object’s origins? I hope you’ll be here for when I do an “Origin of Bu part 2″ someday soon! Maybe every month I’ll do one single post dedicated to it?

Welcome back, faithful visitors! I hope you’re ready for some fun today? I know I am.

Today we continue to focus on a specific artist, and since Neekko has provided me with many arts, I am continuing the saga with PART THREE! Of an unknown number of parts. Today I wanted to have my current Bu badges showcased, as well as an old classic!

Fairly simple here! It’s my badge that Neekko was kind enough to make me for Anthrocon ‘08 here in ol’ Pittsburgh. It was my first badge, my first con even. Lots of fun. Sadly I gave the badge to someone on saturday for reference to a commission at the con and went all day without it. But still, it had it’s use in AC ‘09 and even 2009’s San Diego Comic Con! This and the other badge I also make very solid use of as reference to commissions I buy online. They are very good quality and show all the details you need for Bu, as accurate as can be. This badge can be seen HERE!

Bu doing his ACTION KICK! >:3 I definitely wanted to exploit the fact that Bu is a fighter here. Plus it has his name with an EXCLAMATION POINT!!!! Scream his name with pride. You might also noticed I chose these two above images as the header of my blog, at the moment, anyways. Never know when it’ll change! But for now, it’s awesome. I love both these pictures and Neekko was awesome to give these two to me! <3

AND now for a Busiris classic attack. All the way back to a bit under two years ago, in 2008!

Even to this day… this pic is intense. XD I love the slober effect and the tongue. This is of course… a nearly vore-esque image with Bu and Narugi in his full dragon form. He seems to love Bu. Even enough to nibble on. Like bubblegum! He’ll spit Bu out. He promises. o-o And of course this was right at the end of the line for lean muscle Bu. He still has plenty of muscle but months after this is when we started to pump him up! And Bu’s never changed since! See this image HERE!

Okay I think three is enough today! The Bu barrel is getting thinner, but that’s a successful thing. Being caught up is my goal in 2010! And then I’ll post new entries based off of new Bu pics. Still have plenty of Neekko pics as well. XD Ah boy. The Bu train doesn’t stop here, my friends. I am sure an obnoxiously long blog entry is coming someday soon.

Welcome back, everybody! It’s now the year Two-Thousand-and-One-Zero, i.e. 2010, and we shall start off very simple. Two brand new commissions from two brand new awesome artists. One of them maaaay or may not be porny. Okay… it is. >_>

The subjects for Bu today – Gninrom and Erik Von Lehmann! Both wonderful, and extra friendly personalities are pretty new for me. Just one Bu from each!

Oh boy! lol This is something else. It was the hardest to figure out what I should do with Bu here. I decided I wanted to play off of Bu making himself comfortable ANYWHERE he wants to be. Which would cause much embarrassment to Human Bu. So Gnin and I imagined that his human for went out for some very authentic Japanese cuisine and… well night happened to creep in and I guess Dragon-Bu was feeling very excited tonight!It’s corny and campy, but it’s fun.

The pose really grew on me and the muscles turned out very nice. The legs, feet, and nipples are some of my favorite elements here, and the background is probably also one of the most detailed ones I’ve ever gotten. And don’t get me started on the tail! lol It’s become a Bu standard when he acts like this, isn’t it? >:3 He went deep today. At this moment, it is viewable as the W.I.P, backgroundless, on Y!, HERE!

Lots of hard work and very timely and communicative, I am more than appreciative of that! It’s excellent, I really do hope to being more of Gnin’s iteration of Bu again someday in 2010. Never hurts to stick with the nice guys and it goes double when they are equally that talented. :3

And next we have another very special artist bring on the Bu!

Lol. I must laugh at the thumbnail. Seems to focus on Bu’s physique more than anything. But this picture I really appreciated. It’s a very different piece for Bu. The artist himself seems to have a lot of artistic inspiration from some classic styles, notably to me, Fist of the North Star. Awesome stuff. I wanted a piece of that! I am glad I had the chance too. I’ve known of Erik’s art a loooong time ago, and it was great to see how much has changed for the better in his style and dynamic images when I found him again. And not only that, but damn, fast results to boot. I never make it a point to care about how fast or slow an artist is, but this was only days of waiting. Very cool.

He took a few interesting liberties with Bu, notably the markings on him, and the bracelets/necklace. Also he looks simply like an evil person! It’s offically villian-Bu. Haha.  Really though, it’s dark, but quite beautiful. Certain to be a favorite for me in terms of really taking Bu and changing him to the artist’s style entirely and it working too. You can see it HERE!

So there we go, two very different images from two exceptionally talented and friendly people. Not too many things to show besides that. I think it’s great to start of the new year short and sweet! Hopefully as the year goes on, we will continue to see new and awesome Bu pics! Thanks again for stopping by!

I use the Bu Year’s Day pun waaaaaaaaaay too much. But oh well, right? :B

LAST blog entry of the year! (unless you already made it on another time zone. How is 2010? :3) I have for you… a random assortment of Bu! Most of these are more goof stuff or special purpose items. You’ll see what I mean. ;) And this isn’t because I need to reorganize my folders because I am not sure what I have or have not posted on here yet…. maybe. >3>

I’ve got “Things to Bu!” This ultra adorable image is part of a Christmas gift I got from MTCopyright and her roommie! To be more specific, it’s the cover of a notepad! It’s a beautiful and very personal notepad, and I love it! Gifts like this (as well as my Bu coffee mug and Bu mousepad) help make the character come to life! Or just make him a merchandising whore.  LOL

Next up we have one of those rare and elusive Kiribans! This one I got from Picklejuice13, a TF (transformation) artist also seen on FurAffinity and other zones, though I caught the 100,000th hit on dA.

It’s a simple piece, no? It addresses some elements of torn clothing, along with his own artistic ideas. It helps to get some TF artists on Bu since he is a transformation himself, from his human form. I enjoy it! See the image HERE and HERE!

Okay… time to pause for the obligatory Cartoon Bu commercial break.

‘Nuff said. I think it speaks for itself. Are you afraid yet? Staring into his eyes only opens a portal to the Matrix so don’t do it!

And now to finish, more stuff made by Neekko, THOUGH I helped by coloring the flats. :3 It’s actually my NEW journal CSS on dA. It’s Bu at his most adorable, as usual.

I love his expressions. X3 lol This was our idea. Not only to showcase some of my gifts and commissions of Bu art as seen in the image, but also to show my love of getting commissions and Bu art in general! If all my Bu art was in physical paper like this, I’d look exactly the same, trying to contain them all. lol But boy, I am glad to have a new CSS. Thank you Neekko! <3 *hughug* My old one is over two years old now. Time for change! You’ll see this image in my new CSS in 2010! Also this next image:

Hello everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful “end-of-the-year” holiday! I am starting off this blog featuring all the Christmas joy that Bu has to offer! Need proof that it’s Christmas? Though if it isn’t Christmas… well… you’ll see. lol

We start with my and Neekko’s Christmas cards! The one was from 2008’s Christmas. And this next one is this years, 2009.

I love this idea. With every year we can, we’ll be making a Christmas image with Bu and Nar, and send them out to whoever wants them, free of charge. I hope if you wanted one, you got one. And if you didn’t ask, better keep an eye out next year. ;) This idea was simple. Bu and Nar setting up their ass-large tree! I thought the bear trap with the cookies was an awesome idea. I also thought it was a good idea to change up Bu’s pant color scheme to fit the times. Every year Nar will likely have a new sweater too. YAY him. :| lol See this image HERE and HERE!

For those who got the cards this year, hopefully you’ve seen this! But if not… here we are! Bu being determined. All while Nar is sitting back and having a good day. Damn him. Bu wants a cookie too. The car is brilliant, I think. lol Very clever. Bu looks bufffffff today it seems. XD It’s a good thing though. OH and as the caption says… base colors by Bu. :3 I tried to add a bit of my own touch to it. I added the colors carefully. Some edits were done by Neek, but for the most part, I helped! Next we have a cute lil sketch by MTCopyright. We have shared many a sketch on MSN, and I’ll show them all eventually, I think. However, for today I am showing simply Santa Bu.

Oh look. It’s Bu. Trying to make you feel all hot and bothered this holiday season. Is it working? o3o For a sketch… I like it. lol. It really did turn out nice. Someday it’ll have to see life as a full color image!

Lastly, some lovely Bu! MSN Avatar style.

This was a gift by Crimsonblood, who was nice enough to make these themed avatars for a few, I included. SO thank you, Crimmy!! I love the heart fluttering away. It’s so Bu. Such a little lover, and a spirited soul this time of the year. Christmas is quite awesome to the Bu, so expect him to attempt to overthrow the man named “St. Nick/Santa/Kris Kringle” He has many aliases and Bu would be more than happy to replace him. LOL okay… I’m just rambling nonsense now.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL! <3

Somehow… someway… that title makes sense! Two in the blog… two new artists to feature and pimp out! It’s been over a week since I last reported in here, and now is a better time than ever.

Today’s heroes… Rip-Sama and Croaky!

Rip-Sama is someone whom I had commissioned once and also got a bust sketch from. Both images actually are traditional media and adorn my wall right now! The only copies, and at this very moment here, this blog is the only place that had the images online. They used to be online, however (and if you noticed no hyperlink on Rip’s name) the artist, herself, has since departed from the internet. And the art went with it.

This image is attached with light colors. No shading, which is the only miff I have about it, but being an early commission of mine, it’s lovely! The pants are done right. lol That seems to matter to me, can ya tell? You can really see which Bu pics are early and which are recent for a couple ways:

1. Athletic, not buff. – 2. The bottom of the tail is different than the rest of his skin. and – 3. A array of changes in feet, tail, wings, etc. That’s mostly because Bu was more of a WIP then than he is now.

This is a sweet little thing from Rip. I am left to assume (also because of Bu’s newness) that she didn’t know that he is named after his creator’s username, judging by “unknown” being written there. However it does say “Dragon-Bu” on my wall, as she changed it before sending me the original. lol :P That’s all of Bu from this artist, most likely. No sign of new art from this talented soul for over a year. I wish her well!

Up next we have some gems from Croaky! I first was given the chance to commission her when I snagged a slot in early 2008. Sometimes… my imagination goes in and out. I can have some genious ideas, and sometimes I can have… zip. Nadda, none, nothing. Luckily I had something of a primal spark with Bu. Well… Tarzan to be precise. lol

You can already see here, lots of jungle details. I definitely wanted the loincloth that stems likely from his pants. So they’d be green. His hair was also meant to be longer! So it’s a bit out there. And of course, while not visible here, he’d have some rough wear on his wings. The pose was altered a bit in the final image, but not much! The end result sure did make me squee.

The end result here, it still stands out as one of my favorite images that I purchased. It’s colorful, dynamic, pretty! Bu sports a smile that is, and can only be, Bu’s trademark shimmering grin. But watch out for that tree! He shouldn’t swing on vines. He’ll get a big hurting. The way Bu’s feet are drawn are awesome. lol Good stuff. I loved this picture enough to pay Croaky for a print. I also ponied up dough for a frame. It enjoys the company of my Bu wall. I think… this is the only pic today that is still currently submitted online. lol See it HERE!

This next image is really a stroke of luck if there ever was one.

This image was the result of a winning ticket, so to speak. I entered Croaky’s raffle contest earlier this year. It was more than a surprise to me. How blessed, I felt! :3 I had a very hard time trying to match the imagination of the previous pic, and I surely didn’t match it. But, just as I had in the last blog entry with Ronin Bu, I toyed around with the idea of Bu with swordplay. Him looking kinda noble too. It turned out excellent! Not as buff as Tarzan Bu, but still, too cool! <3 Although pay attention, he is not holding two swords! I noticed people missed that detail. lol

I can honestly say I can’t wait for the next chance to commission Croaky again! Commission slots come and go super fast, so I hope you find the opportune moment to grab one! It’s worth it. Do it!

Long time no see, my fair reader! <3 Today I am going to continue the artful styling of MTCopyright (also known as 1320 on Y!Gallery). I have had several commissions with her, and here go, right off the bat with Commission Session #2!

With MT, I always order up two images. Something fun and interesting, different from the normal Bu pictures, and then just porn. :| lol I usually let the porny image be a surprise. But more about that later. For the first image, we got Ronin Bu. I wanted a Samurai themed Bu image for a long time. Even though Bu is mostly a fist-to-fist in combat, I found that he has a good chance of looking badass weilding a sword.

Costumes with Bu are tough. Generally for Bu, it seems unlikely he can even get a nice top on because the wings make it very difficult to manage without making holes in the back, but the wings are too large for him to use small holes, so the back… yeah. No back part on his shirts? Although in images like this, I just saw WTF to that and let him wear a top. Bu doesn’t enjoy new clothing at all, but it is FANCY! Those designs on the pants are really awesome. I loved it, and it’s still one of my favorite MT images. His face even managed some stubble there. Ah and the altered hairstyle. As for the porn image…

This is also another image from MTCopyright that I actually think is one of her best. This could be one of the best commission sessions I had, for the sake of both images. Good coloring, dynamic, fun, and also large and original. This image is maybe only the second of third porny image of Bu, and the first one probably featuring… Bu goo. Yeah >_> lolol Awwwkward. No but I love how the muscles turned out and his face looks great. The atmosphere created by the shower makes it still reall nice. I think this was chosen because we had talks about Bu getting caught in the shower. XD And thus this was made. Though generally the porn images MT makes me are surprises of her imagiation. It’s a good way to get in as many interesting themes as possible! That… and I am not that experianced at coming up with dirty things. But I suppose I am learning, right? I think MT was really inspired by the Ronin/Samurai Bu idea and kinda kept running with it. And in that alternate universe, I suppose there is a little yaoi pairings going on. Though I guess from what I’ve learned, those sort of types of lovemaking weren’t rare for the samurai era and not frowned upon either. Still strange, especially since I was new to that stuff, but the results were excellent! XD

Oh boy, I see buttsex.  You can see it posted HERE! I still laugh at it, because its fun and silly to see this kinda stuff. The quality of her sketches are really quite a treat, it makes the commissions extra worth it! Jak and Bu often have fun together, but not like this! XD Liberties were certainly taken with the hair, it seemed to get longer, but I can’t mind. It’s an alternate universe! I wonder how Bu would look if he REALLY let his hair start to grow? These two… like demon samurai love-makers…
