Hello, hello, good friends! I hope you had a great Independence Day/4th of July weekend (or Canada Day for you Canadians… or just weekend for everyone else, lol). As I always say, thanks a ton for checking out the Bu blog. Today we have an entry that I am quite excited to bring around to you. I hope you enjoy it a bunch! I know I am thrilled here because the subject of this entry is something I had wanted since I created Bu just over four years ago. I’ve had at least one instance where I commissioned this and it never worked out. I now have stumbled upon a wonderful artist that was able to create this sequence and in a way that actually had excellent results too, so lets get to it!

If you know enough about Bu, this sequence is something that makes sense to the Dragon-Bu story. I always had Bu be a character that was human and changed into the form everybody is so familiar with at nightfall. I focus most of my commissioning on Dragon-Bu form and not Human-Bu form, just because I always found his fantasy form easier to work with because he’s a fun personality. There haven’t been a lot of material of Human-Bu for CJ to take reference from, but the outcome is actually really well done! So now in image Part (I) we already see the changing beginning! His hair and eyes already shifting ways. He is starting to feel it in his whole body and mind. This must actually not be the first change because Human-Bu planned ahead and wore the pants, that way he wouldn’t have any indecent exposure situation. XD So I know I enjoyed this first image! Part (II) we start to see more extreme changes taking place! CJ continued to show Bu’s hair change for and color, slowly. Now he is beginning to buff up and his skin is getting blotchy! The most noticeable changing effect here is the growing wings and tail! The muscles and wings/tail are beginning to tear into his clothes and ruin his shirt! I like the stringy look CJ gave Bu’s shirt as it tears up and becomes ruined! The ears are also getting pointy!  Really pleased with how it’s going so far! Bu is slowly becoming the creature you’re so familiar with! See this part posted HERE!

Part (III) shows that the changes are starting to reach their climax! His hair is almost fully set and de-colorized, and the skin is close to completely no longer resembling that of a Caucasian dude. I love the pose and the wings. The clothes (except for his memorable ol’ pants) are pretty much ready to be torn free from the explosion of muscle and brawn! It’s safe to say that the shift in character personality has fully hit in this shot as well. At this point I am more than happy with CJ‘s progress sequencing this change for Bu. X3 Some people use the SAME pose for transformation sequences, but not CJ, thankfully. A different pose and situation with every new part. This one can be found posted HERE! :D

Part (IV) shows Bu complete! He is allllll done now! Ready to prowl the night (meaning party or pick fights or annoy Nar, whatever comes first because he’ll do them all, for sure). CJ was also a choice I had for this because I saw how well CJ drew buff physiques! This doesn’t disappoint me! This actually can be a standalone Bu profile image, even. A very faithful depiction of Bu, color and detail-wise! With transformation (TF) images, this includes dramatic physical and mental changes, which is what I love about this stuff. Just comparing Part (I) with Part (IV) is really fun. It’s not easy to see the mental change of Bu if you don’t know the character, but Human-Bu is very quiet and reserved and kinda shy. Not Dragon-Bu, of course! He lets go of every emotion to just let loose and be free in ways that his human form doesn’t do. I hope you thought this sequence was as fun as I thought it was. I am actually not going to be done here. I fully intend to have parts (V-VI-VII and VIII) featuring more NSFW kinda stuff and more muscle growth! We shall see what I can manage with Cartoonjunkie in the future. :D I bet this won’t be the only Bu TF sequence I’ll have either. I want more interpretations of the change from other artists!
