Hihi, blog attendees, thanks for coming on back to the Bu Blog again for another round of Bu art and commissions that I have stored up and ready to unleash onto the pages of my lil webspace! I had intended to post something yesterday, but I’ve been so caught up in stuff I need to take care of, that I completely forgot. D: But worry not, I will fill this Bu-void before you can hit on into the weekend. I’m gonna grab a few old things, maybe a few new things! Let us get started. ^3^
Up first, I wanna start with something I’m surprised I haven’t posted. Something I HELPED work on from an original work by Neekko.

This is an old Bu image. VERY old. This is actually from the very first Bu sketch, and my first Neekko commission. <3 In 2007, I made Bu and I really wanted to do something with him, so I started off by making him my DeviantART ID, which has remained so to this very day (with hope of changing that someday though!). This was also very likely the first time he was colored, which explains why it’s definitely not the normal Bu colors here. He’d look different if I recolored it now, that’s for sure. I basically took the line art, did pixels over them and colored, so it’d be something different than a colored sketch. It also shows a trait I had in Bu that sorta phased itself out, which is the scaly lighter-colored underside of Bu’s tail. I’m not sure how exactly he ended up not having it, he just did. XD I think it’s just because with so many people drawing him, and others referencing those images and missing some details, he pretty much evolved through that way. You can only see this posted on my dA page and posted by me, HERE! Oh and yes, the lame personal descriptions were because I suck at writing about myself with detail. LOL. Thanks, of course, to Neekko for making the sketch and helping me with this way back then. <3
Since I brought up new art from GH-Mongo a few weeks past, lets bring him back with an icon he made for me in a commission!

This was actually my first chance at getting Bu art by Mongo earlier this year. I am glad to finally get something done by an artist I’ve known and enjoyed watching for a few years now. He took it very professionally by taking as many references and personality descriptions as he could. Like any reasonable artist, he noticed Bu and his affection towards yummy snacks, most notably… donuts. XD So my Mongo icon is officially excitedly CHOMPING down on a sweet lil donut. I am greatly amused by this picture. lol Also the colors turned out splendidly! He really knocked it out of the park. I am happy with the results! I intend to use it as an icon in some fashion or another very soon. :D Thanks a bunch, Mongo, for the first of maybe many commissions. You can see it posted HERE!
Lastly for this week, we’ll go more adult-oriented with the last of my sketches from this year’s Anthrocon. Made digitally by Modem_redpill!

This sketch/image was something I kinda wanted for a good while now. Macro Bu! It’s good-fun and I know Modem is an expert in that field. He also provides good muscle and humor too. Unlike last year’s Anthrocon, he did this one digitally after the con, but it’s still a con commission! It started off one way, but kinda got redone after he thought up a better pose that I suppose better shows off Bu’s under-appreciated booty. XD I love the concept of him stomping on cars and stuff and not even realizing he’s big yet or that he lost his pants WAY back and there is probably just shredded green pants fabric lying somewhere from when whatever accident occurred that caused this to happen. Oh and the expression he has, priceless. Yes, there is a level of maturity to this one since his bits are visible and quite large to boot, but I don’t think this guy counts as pr0n material just yet. He doesn’t even seem to notice yet that he’s kind of become super-sized. XD I enjoyed this and watching Modem stream it. Thanks a ton, buddy! ^^ You can see it posted HERE!
That puts a close to this week’s blog entry! A little piece of news to leave you with, I will not be able to post an entry next week as I will be attending the San Diego Comic-Con. I will definitely be too busy nerding out on the other side of the country to be able to throw up some Bu stuff. But worry now! LOL 2007 is not that old! XD Man, now I think about it 1987 is so old now even 1997… -_- I really love the first Bu image. Oh he had scales on the bottom of his tail then! I Like that feature! What made you change it? :O LOL The name Mongo fits with the way Bu is drawn. He looks very savage there! :P Bu looks like a real brute, or even a doughnut monster. :P D is for Doughnut. XD
So you paid for the shower one at the con and he e-mailed you it after? That’s cool. Man, he is hung here! This one is very nice. I really like his tail here. :D
Um, well time is subjective, DP. What’s not a long time for you might be a long time to someone else and vice versa. ^^
I think you’re skipping past some of my text though, because I did write in why he doesn’t have the scaley bottom of his tail anymore.

The first time we see Bu colors, its a shame he lose that feature on his tail but the little pic is going to be marked on history deffinetly xD

XDD yes fanservice, indeed! I am actually kinda glad you thought it was a toy car. Maybe that’s the point! I kinda thought Bu even thought it was just a toy car! LOL
Hehe yeah I am maybe slightly happy that feature is gone. It seemed like people preferred making him a solid tail color. You can see a few pics with his tail like that.
Ooh Comic-Con. I’ll be stopping by to get Hideo Kojima’s autograph like you did this Thursday! X3 It’ll be exciting. But I dunno what to bring for him to sign…

Yeah? XD Why wouldn’t I? I got Kojima’s, Yoji Shinkawa’s, and Yumi Kikuchi’s autograph. You almost have to get all three because they’re all there at the table and you pass all three. lol
