Somehow… someway… I manage to come up with some half-ass titles for these posts. XD I can’t do much else because generally I am not following a theme, just featuring some of the heroes in Bu art! Today…
Actually one of my first big commissions was one almost two years ago, in December of 2007, by Felsus (know on Y! Gallery as Luxuris). It wasn’t a complicated concept. He handled the pose and I just told him to make it Bu! He did, and the results were easilly the highest quality of the time.

Really the amount of detail was unprecidented for Bu art, I think. As time went on, I got some more epic Bu images, but this served as a stepping stone for Bu! It wasn’t without problems! It probably began the bad habit of people drawing Bu’s pants waaay too short. lol But it’s really such a small detail that it’s almost ignored in my mind. It wouldn’t be for another 18 months or so, but in Summer 2009, I dove in for more Bu art from him. View this submitted on dA right HERE!

Actually as of right now, this might actually be one of the most detailed and pretty images of Bu. Heck, even for Nar, which was added when having talks/ideas with Neekko, this is a high moment. It’s so strongly intimate an image, which is too funny. Quite out-of-character somewhat. That’s fantasy for you. The muscles and colors are 100% good stuff. This commission was not without stressors and problems of course. Most of it can be attributed to communication/language glitches. But at the end of the day, a solid gold piece of art was made, and his detail with muscles is much to appreciate! It holds up as a solid wallpaper image on my desktop sometimes, and even the PS3. And here we have a singular image coming up, from the one-and-only Sinkato. This commission session actually featured slim to no communication between me and him. This was actually a gift/commission from Neekko for Christmas ’07. I remember seeing the details on Kato‘s journal, which ruined the surprise. lol aww memories. Ah well. The great thing here is that Bu (and Nar too, being in the image) ended up seeing a couple different W.I.P.s before getting the final product.

Now these are the first of the images Kato made (that I was happy to get AFTER the final product was gifted to me XD) and they were never finished beyond the first stages because he simply was not satisfied with the results. I actually like the pose of the first image! It’s kinda fun. But it didn’t make the cut! The colors and some details aren’t totally accurate for either image, but by the time the final product popped out, we had a winner!

Lol, that thumbnail is nice. No face. All torso. Anyways yeah, this is a winner all right. I have continued to use this image well! As a matter of fact, it can be seen still, as my profile image in Y! Gallery. You can also find the final submission (WITH NARUGI!!) HERE! Good lord, Nar makes Bu look so short in his take on the characters. XD Anyways, yeah. I love his animated style and great work with shading and the muscles are top notch, baby. I also see he is open for commissions right now as I write! I want to commission him again someday. I can’t stop recommending you try him out! Do!

I just noticed that Bu’s pants get shorter and shorter as Kato’s picture progresses. XD 4 months of non-stop wear can do that, I guess. He almost looks like a child in the 2nd one. <3

Lol! It’s true. I never noticed that. They do sorta ride up, or wear down, I suppose. XD He does show a bit of youth in the 2nd, but when DOESN’T he try to be young? lol
