Howdy, friends! A new month presents to us a new Bu Blog entry! It’s also just days from Thanksgiving, so I am prepped and ready for a few days off. Looking forward to that. x3 I want to make sure I get in a new entry before the month’s end. This is going to be only a few new images and it’s fairly icon-heavy but I hope you’ll enjoy what I have to offer today!

Before the icons, I’ll post a new sketch by Sphinx!

I am able to continue the adventures of Bu-Man with this new sketch by Sphinx! I did not see this one coming, so I was really pleased with what I saw. Sphinx was nice enough to be reminded of Bu-Man when making up his own superhero design and this was the result of a superhero sketch exercise. I adore it, obviously. x3 Sphinx rocks out a really great, different heroic pose and I like the strong lines defining the costume. All in all a really nice job. I see plenty of reasons to love sketches maybe more than final products. I’m sure if this was lined and colored, it would look spectacular but even just as a sketch, I think it looks superb. Up next is a commission/charity icon from Spunky!

I can’t say anything bad about this. I think it’s definitely going to be a major icon for me in the future. My only problem right now is that I am currently starting to use Christmas icons so I can’t use this for another month or so. x_o lol Spunky was set up to do quick icon commissions and the money earned goes towards benefiting people affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. I was more than happy to help and definitely wanted more Bu art by Spunky. Easy win-win there. I wanted a mischievous/happy Bu face and that’s exactly what I got. As Neekko put it, it looks like he farted in an elevator full of people. lol That would be an appropriate story visual. So once the holiday season is over, you might see more of this icon around once I attach it to my account on a few different sites. XD Thanks to Spunky for making it!

I have to primarily thank Neekko for having Ixelcoatl make these icons for me. Ixelcoatl did a splendid job on making cute little Bu’s and Bu-Mans. It has been my Twitter icon for the majority of 2013 and matches well with the icon Neekko got from Ixelcoatl as well. We like having matching icons, what can I say? XD I haven’t had the opportunity to use the Bu-Man icon, but possibly in 2014, it will get the love it deserves. So many Bu icons, so few places to enjoy them! Many thanks to Ixelcoatl for keeping pixel Bu alive and strong!
