Yo, guys! I realized that it’s been over a month since my last blog entry and thought that I better get one in before I let time slip by too quickly! I have been feeling rather sickly this past week and haven’t done much besides work. I do have a lot of new Bu art, so I suppose I need to show them off for you!

Today I am going to focus entirely on one set of images created by Sphinx! I’ve shown pics from Sphinx in the past but I got some new ones from him just recently. Let’s get started! First we have the final product of the commission I specifically requested (followed by extra sketches and some busts!)

The commission theme Sphinx had when opening slots was Greek. I decided I wanted to interpret that concept as Bu imitating a statue of a Greek god. In this caaaaase…. Poseidon! The final product is technically different than the statue that inspired it, but it’s spirit is still there. Sphinx rocked out an epic chin there on Bu. x3 I love the angle and the muscles a lot here. All in all it ended up being a very strong Bu pic, if I do say so myself. OH and of course just another Bu pic involving food. A golden donut, mind you. It’s fun and silly and wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks to Sphinx for this one! The picture was also posted HERE!

This was the second of three drafts that Sphinx created before reaching the final image. This one is also really fun. Sphinx had even more fun with the perspective and it really shows. :D I like the expression and pose a lot as well. Excellent work, Sphinx! This was surely just as good as any finished image. <3 This one is also posted HERE!

Here is the first of the three drafts for my commission with Sphinx! I truly do love this one. The pose is the most true to the source material it is based on (re: Poseidon) and I think the lines/anatomy are top notch in my book. It gives Bu a strange noble charm. All three images manage to walk that fine line on which Bu looks rather dashing and goofy all at the same time. I think that’s why this set of images gets a thumbs-up!! This is the only image not already posted by Sphinx, so I present it to you here, exclusively. :3 Thanks again to Sphinx for doing such a great job!

Now we have a couple Bu busts from Sphinx. This first one is full-on goofy, as we expect from Bu. He is apparently in a drunk stupor, just going about his business and partying on. <3 Another really excellent and fun expression courtesy of Sphinx. <3

Finally another Bu bust from Sphinx. This one is all silly but also plenty of fun. It was a good demonstration of varied expression work. Really nice work, I’d say. :D

That’ll do it for now. Thanks for stopping in, guys! I realized that there was once a time where I had the time and energy to post a blog entry once a week. Now-a-days I do it once a month or so. That’s a darn shame. I sometimes have enough new art to certainly do more entries and sometimes I’m running low. It does vary depending on my creativity and the turnaround time with all the talented artists out there. That and I’m always so busy lately. I definitely want to make more time for Bu art and my online friends. D: Anyways, better call it a day. Thanks again, guys! I’ll post a new entry ASAP!
