Happy day to you fine reader(s) out there! I have returned now with a couple new goodies to show off to my good buddies here. I was going to post the two sketches I am posting here now much sooner than I actually am no, but these are convention sketches and I wanted to be sure to scan the images and give them back to the artist first. That took foreeeeever. But now it’s done and I am ready to post the sketches! <3

So these sketches are from Anthrocon just two weeks ago! The first sketch is coming from a repeat talent from last year’s con sketches. It’s Cooner!

I wanted to make an honest effort to utilize Bu’s new superhero alter ego, Bu-Man this year, so Cooner took up the task! Something simple, Bu doing another cool-as-ice action pose that only the best superheroes can manage. I love the perspective (another image that probably would kick butt if it was a 3D image! lol) and the accuracy to the outfit is great, considering there is only a couple images to reference at this point. Cooner definitely kicked butt here. :D I believe he may or may not post this image himself someday, but for now this image is exclusive to the ol’ Bu Blog. X3 Thanks again to Cooner! I hope maybe to see a new sketch next year! Who knows? ^3^

Lastly we have another returning con artist! It’s a sketch from Spunky!

Here we… are. XD I was excited for this and I equally love the results. I’ll say that right off. I just wanted Spunky to do a really over-the-top face. It then kinda molded into a joy face. Finally I decided… yes, more pizza would be involved with this. Nothing new AT ALL. But either this will continue to be a theme for Bu alone, or he’ll audition for the new Ninja Turtles movie. He’ll fit in so well. Spunky gave exactly what works for Bu. He looks so happy and I love the eyes and nose and the hands. So great! I’d have to say that this is one thing I’d hope to someday commission Spunky to finish. It definitely has lasting power as a Bu commission. We shall see! You never know. I believe for now this is a Bu Blog exclusive! Thanks to Spunky for such a great new sketch! <3

Those are my Anthrocon sketches! I have one more that you’ll see in the future! However it, like one sketch last year at Anthrocon, is a digital commission that is being made at a later time. Look forward to that! :3 It’ll be a good ‘un. So that wraps up today and also the end of June! July is around, as is Independence Day! Bu likes fireworks. X3 I hope you have a good one!
